Royal Copenhagen

Discover the world of Royal Copenhagen

For more than 240 years, Royal Copenhagen has presented timeless porcelain of the highest quality. Porcelain created through a hand-crafted tradition born in an innovative vision, which began in the late 1700s, when Royal Copenhagen creatives found inspiration from Chinese culture and brought the first hand-painted Blue Fluted pattern to life under Danish skies. With its winding chrysanthemums and potentils, the blue floral pattern marked the beginning of a proud, innovative and timeless tradition of fine porcelain – and a world of creation without limits.
With untiring enthusiasm, meticulous craftsmanship and an inherent desire to honour and reimagine its legacy, Royal Copenhagen continues to tell new tales through its porcelain creations.

Modern Table Setting is a Personal Affair

Choosing an eclectic mix of colour, pattern and style is more personal and chic than a very formal and studied setting. Mix old with new, classic with modern, plain with patterned and colour with pure white. With Royal Copenhagen dinnerware, you can lay out the past, present and future in one setting. Click here for inspiration.

Our family have a growing collection of Plates, Cups and more from Royal Copenhagen. Many of the items were wedding gifts (it's tradition for a girl to get Royal Copenhagen items for birthdays, Christmas and other events) and many of the items we purchased to complete a set. We have a set of Blue Fluted Half Lace products which are framed by a delicate lace trim, which acts as a foil for the hand-painted motif and charming snail shell on each lid. A versatile classic. It takes 1,197 brush strokes – no more, no less – to paint a Blue Fluted Half Lace dinner plate. Meticulous work and gorgeous art always went hand in hand.

Royal Copenhagen offers a breakage warranty

The breakage warranty entitles you to receive a new, similar product at no cost in return for this proof of warranty attached to the original receipt and any pieces from the broken or chipped product.

The breakage warranty applies to all Royal Copenhagen porcelain ranges available at the time of purchase (with the exception of Flora Danica), and which have been purchased in stores, like Great Danes,  that are part of the breakage warranty scheme, as well as Royal Copenhagen, Amagertorv 6, Copenhagen, Denmark, Royal Copenhagen, Store Torv 14, Aarhus, Denmark and Royal Copenhagen’s online shop at www.royalcopenhagen.com.

The breakage warranty runs for 24 months from the purchase date and covers just 1 range. The warranty does not cover continued breakages or breakages caused by gross negligence. The warranty can only be used once per item, and can only be used for the number of goods purchased e.g. if 12 plates were purchased from the above ranges, 12 replacement plates may be received.
